In a quiet village in rural Kenya, 79-year-old widow Agnes sat outside her modest home, stirring a pot over a traditional three-stone fire. The firewood was damp from the morning dew, the smoke heavy, and the cooking slow. For years, this was her routine — waking early to search for firewood, struggling to cook a meal on time, and sometimes sleeping hungry when there was no fuel. That routine changed the day Smartified Widows Organization visited her with more than just support — they came bearing both practical help and spiritual hope.
As part of our Clean Cooking and Spiritual Care Initiative, we renewed an M-Gas system for Agnes — a modern, safe, and refillable cooking gas solution equipped with a smart meter. While the gas system was being set up, our volunteers shared words of comfort and Scripture with her, reminding her that she is not forgotten, and that God's love continues to shine, even in her old age.
