Rev. Aurelia Ndumia

Founder and Executive Director

Rev. Aurelia Wambui Ndumia is a trailblazing humanitarian, journalist, and ordained priest who has spent over a decade transforming the lives of widows across Kenya. As the founder and Executive Director of Smartified Widows Organization, she leads with vision, empathy, and an unshakable drive to restore dignity and purpose to women who are often overlooked and unheard.

With a dual calling in journalism and spiritual ministry, Rev. Aurelia brings both visibility and voice to the hidden struggles of widows. Her mission goes far beyond charity—it’s about transformation, healing, and reclaiming identity. Through her leadership, widowhood is no longer a life sentence, but a launching point for strength, community, and renewal.

Chaplain Vicki Okumu

Program Director

She serves as the Program Director of Smartified Widows Organization and President of Thim Kwe, leading initiatives that bring healing, empowerment, and community transformation to widows. A seasoned chaplain, trainer, supervisor, and communications consultant, she creates safe, holistic spaces where women can find emotional well-being, spiritual growth, and renewed dignity. Her pastoral care, combined with strategic communication, ensures Smartified’s programs connect deeply and effectively with the communities they serve. Drawing from her great wealth of experience in Education, Mass Communication, and Banking, Vicki offers a diverse skill set spanning strategic and corporate communications, public speaking, media relations, capacity building, proposal writing, international development, nonprofit engagement, governance, and community development. Her career—rooted in service within the public sector, finance, and governance change—strengthens Smartified’s operational capacity, advocacy, and outreach, advancing its mission of hope, dignity, and restoration for widows across Kenya and beyond.

Michael Omelle

Resource Mobilizer Officer

Michael Omelle is an experienced ICT and resource mobilization professional with over 7 years of hands-on experience in digital systems, community outreach, and organizational development. He currently serves as the Resource Mobilization Officer at Smartified Widows Organization (SWO), where he leads efforts in fundraising, partnerships, and strategic resource planning. Michael holds a Diploma in Information Communication Technology (ICT) and is certified in Cisco Networking, equipping him with solid technical expertise that supports his work in both digital and operational infrastructure.

Winstone Modi

Resource Mobilizer

Winstone Modi is a highly motivated professional with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations, bringing with him strong expertise in communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement. He currently serves as the Resource Mobilizer at Smartified Widows Organization (SWO), where he is responsible for spearheading initiatives in partnership development, resource acquisition, and mobilization of support to strengthen the organization’s mission of empowering widows. His ability to connect with diverse stakeholders, both locally and beyond, has made him an asset in advancing the visibility and sustainability of SWO’s programs. Alongside his professional role, Winstone is also actively engaged in politics, a platform that allows him to champion inclusive development and advocate for social and economic empowerment of marginalized groups. His dual involvement in public relations and politics equips him with unique leadership and negotiation skills, enhancing his effectiveness as a resource mobilizer. As a committed member of SWO, Winstone continues to dedicate his skills and influence to building opportunities that transform lives and strengthen community resilience.

Grace Wanjiru

Membership Coordinator

Grace Wanjiru is a dedicated Membership Coordinator, Family lady, and Pastor who brings compassion, integrity, and professionalism to every aspect of her work. With a strong background in administration and community engagement, she ensures smooth membership processes, effective communication, and meaningful connections within the organization. Her pastoral calling and family values deeply influence her warm and supportive approach, making her not only a capable coordinator but also a trusted presence among members.

Bramwel Kakai

Expertise in Livestock Health and Crop Production

Bramwel Kakai is a Veterinary Doctor and Agronomist from Bukura Technical Institute of Science and Technology. He partners with Smartified Widows Organization to provide expertise in livestock health, crop production, and sustainable farming practices. His role supports widows and their families in improving food security, increasing agricultural productivity, and promoting self-reliance through modern agronomy and veterinary services.

Domnic O. Ododah

Media and Content Creator

Media and Content Creator – I am a Media and Content Creator at Smartified Widows Organization, where I manage digital platforms to amplify the voices of widows through impactful storytelling and engagement. With a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate in Computer Studies, I blend technical expertise with media skills to advocate for widows facing social and economic challenges. My work is driven by a passion to empower, uplift, and give visibility to widows, creating narratives that highlight their resilience and inspire change. I am committed to creating platforms that highlight their resilience, challenge stereotypes, and mobilize support for meaningful change.
